Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Medan → Bukit Lawang
Pick up from Medan Airport or your hotel. Enjoy a private transfer (4-5 hours) to Bukit Lawang. Check-in at your jungle lodge/hotel. Welcome briefing and enjoy free time by the river.
Day 2: Jungle Adventure (Orangutan Trekking)
Full-day trekking in Gunung Leuser National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for wild orangutans, gibbons, hornbills, and macaques. Enjoy a jungle lunch. Return to the village via exciting river tubing.
Day 3: Culture & Village Life
Visit traditional villages. Observe palm sugar production and home industries like tempeh & tofu making. Walk through beautiful plantations and meet local families. Savor a traditional Indonesian lunch.
Day 4: Optional Tangkahan Elephant Experience
Morning transfer to Tangkahan. Enjoy elephant bathing & jungle interaction. Take a jungle walk with elephants and their mahouts. Visit natural hot springs. Return to Bukit Lawang or overnight in Tangkahan.
Day 5: Transfer to Medan
Breakfast. Check-out. Private transfer back to Medan with drop-off at the airport or your hotel.
